‘Voz/ Estudo de Som’ (voice/ sound study) presents a combination of prose in poetry. The book is divided into three sections: a report analysing the process of building a dam; a series of poems organised into columns and separated by sound breaks; and a set of notes scattered throughout the book and aggregated at the end, forming a distinct block.
‘Voz/ Estudo de Som’ was initiated in 2020 and was composed according to a principle of narrative diversion, combining, on the one hand, a satire of the tension between urban structures, the bureaucratic processes inherent to them, and the ecosystems in which they are inserted; on the other, the exploration of a possibility of progressively destructive narration in which the addition of disconnected points of view dissipates the univocity of the text without presenting a single narrator.
The book has 75 pages and is was published in an author's edition. Design, layout and illustration by Luzia Cruz.
